Read Aeschylus’s tragedy Agamemnon in its entirety. When you read Agamemnon, find the answers to the following questions. Make sure to take notes as you read. The answers to these questions will be the content of your Paper 2.
1) Agamemnon is considered the hero of Agamemnon. Give an example from Agamemnon that demonstrates how he is a tragic hero and explain why you have chosen this particular excerpt to make your point.
2) Apart from Agamemnon, who would you say is the hero of Agamemnon? Give an example from the play that demonstrates your choice and explain why you have chosen this particular character as your hero. Your hero can be either a man or a woman (mortal), but not a god or goddess (immortal).
3) How would you interpret the relationship between Agamemnon and Clytemnestra in Agamemnon? Give an example from the text that supports your interpretation and explain why you have selected this particular example.

Your text needs to include quotes and/or excerpts from Agamemnon that illustrates your point, followed by an explanation of why you have selected this quote or excerpt. All quotes and excerpts need to be immediately followed by footnotes with references to Agamemnon that makes it possible for me to locate the quotes and/or excerpt you have chosen. The paper needs to contain a correctly formatted bibliography according to the Chicago Manual of Style (Notes and Bibliography). The formatting of the Word document should be Times New Roman 12 pts double-spaced. The document should be no longer than 4 pages. Any text that exceeds 4 pages will not be graded.
