Prerequisite: Concurrent enrollment in MFA527 Speculative Fiction Writing I (MFA527) and CMTA 504 is required. This course introduces the student to the basic components of a speculative fiction story. Students will be introduced to tools such as character development, setting, plot development, scene-setting and structure. Students will learn to critically evaluate their own work and to utilize new media outlets for presenting their own speculative fiction stories.
