Course Description This course is intended to introduce students to mathematical proofs and problem solving. Students will learn about the concepts, techniques, and tools for proving mathematical statements, including an introduction to the use of logic, formal proofs, informal proof techniques, and deductive reasoning.
This course also provides an opportunity to develop skills in reading and reasoning which are essential for college-level work in all disciplines.

MAT299.0 is designed as a pre-requisite for MAT299.
