LIT550 Week 3 Description

For the Fall 2016 semester, SJSU is offering a new graduate course to help students explore the Black literary tradition in American Literature and Culture. The goal of the course is to offer an interdisciplinary foundation for exploring Black popular culture, race, culture, and identity. Students will be introduced to the critical framework of black literary tradition and discover its historical, theoretical, cultural, and political dimensions through readings, discussions and reflection. This class is open to all graduate students enrolled at SJSU.
