In this course, students will conduct independent research on a specific topic in the field of literature and undertake the preparation of a thesis proposal. Students will be required to submit an application for the senior thesis in April of their sophomore year. Students must be enrolled in at least 9 credits and complete all requirements for their major by the end of spring semester of their junior year. The paper will be based on research conducted during that spring semester as well as any additional research required before the beginning of the senior thesis
