Topics may include current work in such areas as victimization, criminal justice, legal studies, deviance, penology, criminology, prison and penal policy, policing theory and practices, street gangs and drug trade activities. Students will participate in a variety of structured presentations as well as an online discussion. All JUS courses are conducted in English. Credits: 4-5

The research can be based on either a topic, which is given by the instructor or in consultation with faculty, or on a topic chosen from outside the department.
