Course Purpose: The objective of this course is to introduce students to fundamental concepts and techniques of digital imaging. This course will provide an introduction to the various types of digital images, their characteristics, and important characteristics in relation to scientific image processing. Fundamental concepts and terminology will be presented using a hands-on approach. For this reason, the class requires the use of computers.
