Course Description

This course is a course on Rapid Prototyping. It is designed for those who wish to learn how to rapidly prototype ideas and concepts, focusing on the design, development and testing of games. The class will be structured around the design of 2D games using C# in Unity. The goal is to teach you how to create very simple game designs that can then be tested with various game engines, such as Unity, Unreal Engine and GDE.

GDE210 Course Description

4 credits This course is an overview of game design and production, covering the basics of game engine structure, visual programming and text-based programming. Students will learn how to approach creating a new game from concept to final release. Students will have the opportunity to work on their own projects in teams while receiving feedback from peers and teachers. A lot of learning takes place outside the classroom as well. During lab times, students participate in virtual reality game development for Oculus Rift using Unity3D and Unreal Engine
