(3) This is a preparatory course for ENG327. The workshop is for students who are required to write in Playwriting. Students will learn the basics of playwriting, and discover their voice as a writer. We will explore the creative process, including brainstorming, characterization and dialogue, scene work, rhythm and meter, pacing, staging and action. Students will discuss the differences between writing for stage and screen and will learn about the different forms of theatre that they might choose to write in:
