Course Details: This course is designed to introduce you to the principles of assessment, accountability and teaching in the classroom. The course includes a pre-course preparation assignment in preparation for all assessments in the course. Assessment: 100% of the final mark is based on an assessment. Students will be assessed through:
– Critical reflection on coursework
– Individual and group presentations
– Written responses to assignments
– Participation throughout the term
Teaching Method: Learning activities include lectures, discussions, tutorials, student presentations

This course provides the opportunity for faculty members to teach in the classroom, as well as practice techniques to improve their teaching skills. Topics will include formative and summative assessment, grading, classroom management, lesson planning, student evaluation, and assessment of student learning outcomes.
