we studied the relationship between corporate revenue and the value of professional sports teams. In this course we will now apply the tools and techniques learned in ECO375 to a real world situation, professional sports team valuation. Our focus will be on a 10-year analysis of three franchises (Detroit Tigers, Atlanta Braves, San Francisco Giants) using regression analysis, factor analysis and factor rotation. We will use each franchise as a separate model to examine how various variables affect the value of the team.
