These courses are open to majors in all disciplines who wish to make the technical and artistic aspects of professional communications relevant to their areas of study. Students will work on projects individually and collaboratively. Topics include corporate identity, business card design, magazine layout, newspaper design, computer graphics (including art direction), and presentations. Written Assignments (20%): Short written assignments will assess student understanding of the course content and the use of various communication methods. 2. Oral Presentation (30%): The Oral Presentation is an interactive discussion that builds on, expands upon, or responds to a written assignment. These discussions are worth up to 20 points each, depending on how well they meet with the instructor’s expectations for such discussions.
