Cybercrime is one of the key areas of law that I practice. However, it is not as well known to most people as other areas of law such as Tax Law, Criminal Law, Intellectual Property Law etc. In this course, we will be covering the key areas of criminal law and its relationship to cybercrime. We will also be looking at how criminal law applies to the Internet and various Internet-related offences. Our discussions will be in the context of an international perspective.

(20%) Students will be assessed on the following categories to determine their performance: Individual Skills – Students will assess their own personal skills by completing a skills self-assessment prior to the start of the course. This needs to be completed at least 2 weeks prior to the start of the course, and an assessment form needs to be completed for each personal skill assessed. Course Description

This course will provide students with the opportunity to gain experience working in a technology-enabled organization that requires them to practice their skills. Students will be required to design, develop, implement, evaluate and document a technology-enabled project that relates to digital forensics or cybercrime principles.
