Course Overview: This course is a laboratory course that is designed to provide students an introduction to the concepts of biology in plant cell structure, growth and development. Students will learn plant anatomy by dissecting plant tissues; and understand plant anatomy by dissecting leaves, stems, roots, flowers and fruits. The course will emphasize the appropriate use of microscopy and scanning electron microscopy for high school students.
