The AT210 course provides an introduction to the training program for tower controllers. The course will be offered in a class format using computer based instruction and two hours of classroom time per week. This training is designed to cover the required theoretical knowledge as well as enhance your ability to work effectively with others in order to provide excellent service to the traveling public and protect aircraft from possible dangers.

The course is designed to give the student an understanding of aeronautical operations. The student will gain knowledge of the basic principles and practices of air traffic control and navigation in which they will apply their knowledge in a real world setting. The students will have an opportunity to work with an instructor, a mentor, as well as other individuals within the Department and/or outside agencies such as the FAA or local tower or airport authority.
