Course Description The purpose of this course is to provide an introduction to the prevention and intervention techniques for a variety of traumatic events, including homicide and suicide, child abuse, parental mental illness, domestic violence, assaultive incidents, and workplace violence.
The goal is to provide an understanding of the basic concepts and theories of crisis and trauma intervention which can be applied across a variety of different settings. This course is designed for students who are new to working with victims/survivors
