The department of medical laboratory science offers a course titled Practicum in Immunohematology (Nan) which is in its 4th semester. This course is offered to all students of all semesters on a weekly basis. The aim of this course is to expose the students to the field of clinical and molecular laboratory research with emphasis on hematology.

Prerequisite: CLS 3101. A clinic-based immunohematology practicum in which the student will conduct clinical studies of patients with primary immune hemolytic anemias. The laboratory component of the practicum will include the assessment of antibodies and cell-mediated response to antigens, in addition to measurement of indices such as hemoglobin, platelet count, erythrocyte sedimentation rate, leukocyte count
