Students will work with a senior faculty member in the CS division to develop software design skills, study a real-world programming project, and learn to effectively communicate with peers. The course is organized around an operating system that you’ll design, build, and debug. It provides an opportunity to understand how applications are designed and developed.

CS230 is designed to prepare students for the Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) certification for Microsoft Windows 7 and other Microsoft products. It also prepares students to take the MCSA certification exams. This course will cover the concepts of operating systems and software development, as well as applications that run on those operating systems. Students will be introduced to fundamental concepts and techniques required in designing, developing, managing and maintaining enterprise-level software systems.
